nuVibrations now has a 24/7 broadcast on Grooveshark! I am hoping to create a sense of community with the users of our music software products, and sharing electronic music (both from well-known and aspiring artists) seemed like a great way to accomplish that goal. Grooveshark has a great platform for starting a broadcast which features a chat room and some great tools to record live audio clips (as I am doing in the image) to give the broadcast some personality.
I do have some experience in radio: ?Back in the late 80’s, I got my FCC license as part of the training at KBOO community radio in Portland Oregon. ?My training covered basic audio concepts, using a mixing board, mics, and controlling phonograph and CD playback, and splicing quarter-inch tape (which I have not touched in 25 years). ?With that training, I recorded some spots for pledge week, and spent 4 hours late one Friday Evening hosting a show and playing heavy metal tracks (Portland’s only hard rock station at the time had switched to classical the year before, so there was a big hole in the market!).
